Sealmaster® RPB mounted tapered roller bearings are a dimensionally interchangeable upgrade from competitive Type E bearings. The exclusive features include unitized replaceable inserts, self aligning capability, split housing and the Sealmaster® alignment pin which provides for a direct path for lubrication into the bearing and helps prevent outer ring rotation. The Sealmaster® RPB is available with two traditional setscrew locking collars for easy installation. The felt seal with flinger provides a good balance between contaminant entry, grease retention and friction. Depending on application requirements, these bearings are available in both inch and metric with a wide variety of housing, sealing and lubrication options.

Sealmaster® USRB performance mounted spherical roller bearings feature black oxide treated bearing steel races with optimized bearing geometry for load capacity, misalignment and speed capabilities. Dodge® spherical bearings, including imperial bearings, are general purpose, high capacity, double row spherical roller bearings. All imperial bearings are mounted in 1-piece, precision machined housings. Bearings are mounted to shafts by means of a patented adapter system that improves concentricity and reduces inherent vibration. ASTM A48 Class 30 cast iron is the standard material used in imperial housings. Housing designs are available for survival in extremely harsh environments, through the use of special finishes and stainless hardware. Housings are available in a variety of standard configurations, including pillow blocks, flanges, piloted flanges and take-up bearings. Trident triple lip contact seals and labyrinth seals are available on imperial bearings.

The Browning® torque limiter is a spring loaded friction style torque overload device. The load on the friction pads is adjusted so that the process torque is transmitted. An overload torque in excess of the set torque causes the unit to slip. This prevents overloads from transmitting through the system. When the load falls below the set level, the torque limiter stops slipping and transmits the torque. A torque limiter does not maintain phase between input and output. Although it is a similar size, the Browning® torque limiter has a higher torque density than the Morse® torque limiter. It is also well suited for applications that trip infrequently at high loads. It is most often used in a chain drive. A specially machined sprocket is inserted between the friction pads and acts as the slip interface. Torque capacity is up to 8800 in-lb.
