Safety fill vents and funnels fit the 2 in bung on a vertically-stored drum. The brass vent provides automatic pressure and vacuum relief and includes a brass cap with safety chain tethered to the vent to prevent misplacement or loss. Remove cap during drum filling operations. Model no. 08211 includes a 9 in wide polyethylene funnel to facilitate solvent waste disposal and reduce spillage. Automatic pressure relief ensures safe workplace. No more worrying about pressure building up in your drums. These safety drum vents automatically relieve pressure between 3 and 8 psi (30 to 55 kPa). Vents are tested to allow 61 cubic inch (1-L) of water through a 3/8-in (9.5-mm) pipe nipple in less than 6 seconds. Keep the vent in closed position to prevent flammable vapor from escaping. A built-in flame arrester helps absorb and dissipate heat for added safety. Vacuum relief is automatic on vertically installed vents and manual on horizontally installed vents. Drum vents are FM Approved. For protection and avoidance of high-pressure drum failure while dispelling heat using its flame arrestor.
