Worms and worm gears are used to power right angle, non-intersecting shafts. In normal applications the worm gear is driven by the worm. The most popular use of worms and worm gears is in applications where high ratio speed reduction is desired in a relatively limited space. They are also used in applications where high resistance to the worm gear shaft reversing and driving back through the worm is desired.

Permatex Red High Strength 262 Threadlocker meets OEM specifications. It is an all-purpose high strength threadlocker ideal for fasteners 3/8" to 1" (10mm to 25mm) in size. Designed for securing parts that must withstand heavy shock, vibration or extreme chemical or environmental conditions. Locks and seals while preventing parts from loosening due to vibration. Protects threads from corrosion. Localized heating and hand tools are required to separate parts. Conforms to ASTM D5363 AN0331 (Mil-S-46163A, Type II, Grade O).

Drawn cup needle roller bearings support radial loads and reduce friction between rotating components, with a drawn outer shell serving as a raceway for the rollers. The small cross section of the drawn cup bearing provides high load-carrying capability with minimum required space. Drawn cup bearings are easily installed with a press fit in the housing.

IKO manufactures a wide range of radial Needle Roller Bearings to meet the needs of different applications and machine profiles. These include shell type bearings, needle roller cages for both general use and within engine connecting rods and machined type Needle Roller Bearings. Shell type Needle Roller Bearings are lightweight, low profile motion components designed to handle either high speeds or heavy loads, depending on the configuration. An outer ring made of high strength steel enables a streamlined profile with the lowest sectional height of all the Needle Roller Bearings.

LOCTITE® LB 8014™ prevents seizing, galling, friction, and wear on threaded joints and other metal-to-metal surfaces. It is a combination of white lubricating solids and extreme pressure lubricating agents in an aluminum gelled white oil. Typical applications include pipe joints, nuts, bolts and studs, flange gaskets, slip-fit, press-fit and keyed shafts, and metal-to-metal contact involving stainless steel and other stainless alloys. It is used in industrial food industries such as meat and poultry packing plants, dairy products processing plants, canning plants, grain processing plants, sugar processing plants, bakeries, beverage plants, breweries, hospitals, and other general plant maintenance.
