Hougen "12000 Series" cutters were the original annular cutters invented over 35 years ago. With the most features of any annular cutter, "12000 Series" cutters provide the best performance in the largest variety of materials. Compared to traditional tooling (twist drills, etc.) "12000 Series" cutters can multiply your cutting speed by up to 3 times. And you get longer tool life, a more accurate hole, a better finish, with no burrs. Hougen cutters maximize feed rates because up to 10 cutting edges distribute the cutting load evenly. "12000 Series" cutters convert a smaller area to chips, requiring less horsepower and thrust.
Sure-Grip® quick detachable bushings are easy to install and remove. Split-through flange and taper provide a true clamp on the shaft that is equivalent to a shrink fit. All sizes except JA and QT have a set screw over the key to help maintain the bushing's position on the shaft until the cap screws are securely tightened. Versatile Sure-Grip® bushings permit the mounting of the same mating part on shafts of different diameters and the mounting of different sheaves on the same shaft using the same bushing.
Browning® mounted ball bearings feature multiple housing styles, materials and configurations, an extended inner race insert bearing with ball riding nylon retainer. The insert features a rivet to prevent outer ring rotation and is available with setscrew, eccentric or BOA concentric locking collar. The contact seal with black oxide treated flinger provides a good balance between contaminant resistance, grease loss and friction.
