This 15 A, 6000 rpm, 3.5 maximum horsepower sander provides high performance under severe applications. As a sander, this tool can be used with a 7 or 9 in backing pad for removing paint or rust from metal, plastic or fiberglass surfaces. Spiral bevel gears transfer maximum torque for heavy duty jobs. Spring loaded recessed spindle lock assists in easy accessory changes. Sold as a sander, this tool can be converted to a grinder by purchasing a 7 or a 9 in guard which is easily attached to the tool. Grinding applications remove more material and may be used to shape metal.
