O-rings are closed circular rings of circular cross-section. They are made through vulcanization from form tools as a complete ring. The sealing function of the O-ring is achieved by the deformation of the cross-section when installed and compressed in its housing. The O-ring can be compressed either radially or axially in its installation housing. In operating conditions the pressure exerted by the media reinforces the sealing function, as under pressure the elastomer material functions as a non-compressible fluid.

Sioux Chief Raise-A-Ringā¢ 886-R Spacer/Extension Ring, ABS
Installers use Sioux Chief's spacer and repair rings to repair or adapt closet flanges for specific applications, such as when new or thicker flooring is added. The Quick Spacerā¢ installs under the flange, while the Raise-A-Ringā¢ is typically set on top of the flange, and can be stacked if necessary. For repairs to cracked or broken flanges, installers can fit Sioux Chief's stainless steel Ringerā¢ over the damaged flange and fasten it to the floor. Also available is a two-piece repair ring, designed to replace rusted or broken metal swivel rings without replacing the plastic portion of the flange.

The 5000Ā® Series of bearings is similar in construction to the 400Ā® Series bearing except it has a flange on the outer ring to locate the bearing when pressed into a tube or housing, thus eliminating the need for an external mounting device. The bearings are designed for moderate loads and speeds where running accuracy and noise level requirements do not warrant the more expensive precision ground bearings. This series of bearings feature a full ball complement without a retainer. The rings are case hardened and the soft steel band on the outer ring of the unitized assembly allows the bearing to be pressed into a housing without the necessity of close housing tolerances. The bearings are supplied pregreased as a standard. The bearings are designed for use in applications with speeds not exceeding 1200 rpm.
