IKO designs and manufactures thrust bearings with precisely machined cages and rollers to handle high axial loads in confined spaces. Two styles are available - thrust needle roller bearings and Thrust Roller Bearings. Thrust Roller Bearings feature caged cylindrical rollers and are well suited to applications requiring high accuracy at high speeds and fluctuating heavy loads.

Cylindrical roller thrust bearings provide rolling bearing arrangements that accommodate high-dynamic axial loads. The simple geometry of the bearing components allows the use of many design arrangements. As an example, for less demanding applications, it is possible to combine metric series, thrust cylindrical roller and cage assemblies, including the metric series heavy thrust washers (LS, CPR) and even the metric series thin thrust washers (AS, CP). These two thrust washer types are more commonly used with thrust needle roller and cage assemblies. Thrust cylindrical roller and cage assemblies also can be used without bearing thrust washers if the adjacent machine components can be prepared to serve as suitable raceways. Cylindrical roller thrust bearings may be used where the load carrying capability of thrust needle roller and cage assemblies is insufficient. Also, the bearings can accommodate high-dynamic and static axial loads in one direction, but they are not suitable to transmit radial loads.

Sealmaster® 3-piece rod ends incorporate a 1-piece race formed around a hardened steel chrome plated ball in a controlled manufacturing process. 3-piece construction offers flexibility for alternative race materials designed to help solve specific application problems.

TRAKROL® bearings feature black oxide treated bearing steel. They utilize either a precision ball or tapered roller bearing insert for longer operating life under combination radial and thrust loads. The capacity for combination loads allows the TRAKROL® bearing to be available in plain (cylindrical), V-groove and flanged outside diameter in both stud and yoke styles. Small sizes less than 3 in outside diameter or point diameter use sealed ball bearing inserts. They also use a NYLAPLATE® seal for additional protection. Stud type configurations utilize a metal end plug seal on the roller face providing a long lasting seal. Both bearing types provide a large internal grease reservoir along with special sealing. This makes TRAKROL® bearings an excellent choice where reduced maintenance is required.
