Reed Manufacturing
All REED cutter wheels are made from high shock-resistant tool steel, while competitive cutter wheels are made from carbon steel or still lower quality tool steel. By using this higher quality raw material, REED cutter wheels can be made thinner and can therefore cut pipe more easily and leave less burr. Also, because of their higher quality, certified material, only REED cutter wheels can be heat-treated for the perfect balance between hardness and toughness to make REED cutter wheels resist breakage and last longer.

R12+ Dropheads ship completely assembled and ready to use with HSS segmental dies already in place. R12+ Dropheads can be used manually with the ratchet ring and handle or with REED's 700PD, 700APD and 701PD Power Drives. R12+ dropheads are interchangeable with RIDGID® 12-R dropheads and can also be utilized in the RIDGID® 700 power drive.
REED knows how to cut a good thread and high speed steel (HSS) R12+ Segmental Dies show this with cutting edges manufactured in-house by precision CNC machinery. The 1/2" through 2" die segments are available in NPT. The segmental die design enables smooth chip flow and easy cutting. R12+ die sets are replaceable parts for REED R12+ Dropheads, as well as the following RIDGID® dropheads: 12-R, 00-R, 111-R, 0-R, 11-R, 30A and 31A threaders. Segmental dies are sold in full sets of four.NOTE: Available only in right-hand configuration.
REED Heavy-Duty Straight Pipe Wrenches are the most popular pipe wrench style. High-tensile ductile iron handle and hardened, alloy steel parts are designed to withstand the heaviest demands. New production tooling for the hook jaws produces sharper teeth on the 18, 24 and 36 in models. This change yields a still better grip for hard oil field pipe.

R811 Universal Die Head uses universal dies from REED, Ridgid®, Wheeler-Rex®, Berkley and some private brands. R811 fits REED's 5301PD Power Drive and RIDGID® machine models 300, 535 and 1822. The R811 universal die head offers easy-to-adjust size selection with manual open/close operation, along with die lubrication slots. R811 does not include universal dies, order them separately. The R811 die head holds any NPT, NPSM, BSPT, or Bevel-type REED Universal Dies. Geared Threading Dies: The R65 die is made for easier work with larger pipe and in remote locations. It fits Ridgid® brand 65 geared heads. Like other REED chasers, the R65 is backed by REED's 120+ years of die-making experience, and is made in the USA.

REED's L4N1 and L4N1XP Thru-Bolt™ ratchet wrenches feature four sockets on one wrench in a popular dog bone configuration. The sockets are designed to stay on the handle, which means there are no loose sockets to misplace. The length and design of the handle provide maximum leverage. And, the rugged, textured handle grip ensures a secure hold for the operator. Use just one tool to work on mechanical joints and restraints, repair clamps, service saddles, gas/water couplings, flange bolts, friction clamps, hydrant break flanges and some bonnet bolts. Additionally, tightening nuts on long bolts or all-thread rod is never a problem with REED's Thru-Bolt™ sockets which work by letting the bolt pass completely through the socket and arm head so nuts can be worked on any threaded length. Thru-bolt sockets replace the need for separate regular and deep sockets. L4N1XP provides superior performance and extra protection as the sealed ratchets keep out most debris and dirt. Regular tool cleaning and maintenance is recommended for both wrench models. These socket wrenches are made in USA.

The wheel pin is universal to all REED LCRC and RC cutters. It is used to hold the wheel in place and allows for easy change of wheels, whether from old to new, or from wheels for steel to wheels for cast/ductile iron, which gives these cutters their useful versatility. (Note: the RC36S and RC42S cutters are only for steel.) REED strongly recommends changing all four cutter wheels simultaneously for optimum cutter performance. The 93220 outboard roller is for use with all cutter wheels except the RCX wheel. Each cutter wheel requires two outboard rollers for a total of eight per cutter. The 93222 outboard roller is a specially designed roller for use with the RCX wheel only. When using RCX wheels, it is critical to change the outboard rollers from 93220 and use only the 93222 roller. The RCX wheels are designed to cut thicker-walled pipe, and the 93222 roller has a smaller diameter, which allows the longer profile of the RCX wheel to penetrate steel or stainless pipe wall up to 0.8 inches (20.3 mm). As with all LCRC or RC cutters, a total of eight outboard rollers is required per cutter. To cut only thicker-walled steel or stainless steel pipe, order cutters with the "X" designation (such as LCRC8X), because these come automatically equipped with the RCX wheels and 93222 rollers.

Hinged Pipe Cutters feature four wheels to cut steel, stainless steel, cast and ductile iron with only 90deg to 110deg handle swing. Only 4" (125 mm) clearance is required around pipe. Strong guide fingers ensure perfect wheel alignment for square cuts. A closed 360deg frame on the hinged pipe cutter forces all energy into cutting the pipe for maximum efficiency. There is no shower of sparks in this cold cut. REED has the only 4-wheel pipe cutter that tracks every time and the only one recommended for ductile iron, steel, and stainless steel to Schedule 100. This tool is a REED invention.
All Reed cutter wheels are made from high shock-resistant tool steel, while competitive cutter wheels are made from carbon steel or still lower quality tool steel.
For use in extremely tight places, mini tubing cutters require minimal swing around the tubing. Mini tubing cutters can be used on copper, steel, stainless steel and aluminum tubing. MC2GRIP has rounded corners and edges of the body for a more comfortable grip when rotating the cutter around tubing. After tightening the feed screw, mini tubing cutters work faster by providing a more consistent cutting force on the wheel.

REED tubing cutters are equipped with special wheels for stainless steel. REED wheels for stainless tubing use specialized steel for toughness and heat dissipation, resulting in long wheel life. T10SS, T15SS and T20SS tubing cutters offer a large knob for firm grip and easy turning, along with an internal reamer in the knob. TC11SS telescoping tubing cutter includes a fold-out reamer and spare wheel for stainless tubing.
Tubing cutters are a simple, durable design. Each tubing cutter has a screw feed with a large grip knob to make it easier to tighten the cutter. T10 and T15 cutters are zinc alloy construction with a built-in reamer for convenient cutting and deburring. T20 cutter is larger but light due to its aluminum construction. T20 cutter features a fold-out reamer. Wide rollers on all three cutter models yield a square cut while thin cutter wheel profile ensures a quick, clean cut.
