Thixotropic, methacrylate ester acrylic thread sealant liquid designed for threaded fittings commonly found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Loctite® 5452 is a purple, thixotropic, methacrylate ester acrylic thread sealant liquid designed for threaded fittings commonly found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. It is useful with dry seal fittings such as O-Ring boss style connectors. It can be used as a sealant on mating surfaces of flare style fittings. It contains no fillers or particles that can interfere with a hydraulic system.

It prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration and is particularly suitable for sealing steel metal joints where high temperature and high pressure resistance is required.
