Wood Drill Bits

Single spur cutting edges scribes hole, bits have 4-1/2-in twist and 7-1/2-in overall length. Full length heated treated bit.

Power through soft and hard wood with the 1/4 in. Solid Center Auger with Cutting Spur designed with a coarse screw-point for faster drilling. The solid-center design increases overall durability and allows for smooth, straight drilling. Full-length, heat-treating strengthens the twist, guarding against bending in demanding applications. And the single cutting spur scribes the outside of the hole for overall faster drilling, clean holes, and a smooth finish.

Weldtec ship auger bit with single cutter and side lip is designed to bore holes in wood where nails may be encountered. Cuts through nails without damaging the bit. The hollow center flute clears chips quickly out of the hole. Ideal for applications where chip clogging can be a problem such as with green wood and creosoted poles. Full-length heat treated bit guards against bending in heavy-duty applications and strengthens the twist where the greatest strain occurs. The 7-1/2-in length allows bit to be used in tight areas and the wide lands keep the bit straight as it bores through the hole. The medium-fast screw point is ideal for general wood boring applications.

The IRWIN with WeldTec ship auger is made stronger and lasts longer than any standard augers. It features a welded cutting edge that easily cuts through tough materials like nail-embedded wood.
