In addition to belts manufactured to ARPM (Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers) standards, Bando produces belts to European standard DIN 7753 and ISO4184. These standards are based on the metric system of measure and have different cross section designations. The Narrow Wedge profile allows for higher speed ratios, shorter center distances, and more compact drives. They are direct replacements for belts on imported machinery and on domestic equipment for export.
Reed used its 100+ years of die-making experience to select the best materials, methods and CNC production for its universal dies. These dies fit Reed's 5301PD power drive, Ridgid® 300, 300 compact, 535, 535 automatic, 1215, 1822-I, 1224 plus the reed R811 universal die head. Bevel dies add a chamfer to the outside edge of steel/stainless steel pipe for welding purposes. A bevel die set comes with 1 cutting segment and 3 guide segments. Reed offers alloy, high speed steel (HSS) and HSS for stainless steel universal dies in NPT or BSPT geometries. All three provide excellent threads. Alloy dies are the most economical. HSS dies last longer than alloy dies because HSS universal dies withstand high temperature without losing hardness. This feature allows them to cut faster than the alloy at room temperature. HSS for stainless steel dies are designed specially for stainless steel pipe. Use with reed Thread guard cutting oil for better and faster threads and longer die life.
